“The Enterprise Java Architecture Workshop (EJAW) addresses advanced enterprise software architecture topics. EJAW brings together senior technical contributors for four days into a group setting to design and architect a solution to a challenging problem. The workshop addresses software architecture problems in general, and then applies them to the design of a challenging on-line auction system.
EJAW is conceptual, yet practical. Throughout the highly interactive workshop, participants apply concepts to real-world examples resulting in detailed synergistic discussions. The small and intimate environment is conducive for participants to learn techniques for architecting enterprise systems, not only from the leader’s experience but also from the experiences of their fellow participants.
More specifically, EJAW addresses advanced enterprise architecture topics, including persistence, object-relational mapping, transactions and concurrency control, scalability, fault tolerance, design for scalability, clustering, integration, messaging and how to minimize the risk of an unsound architecture.” More …
